61cm x 61cm, 3.8cm deep, (24″x 24″x 1.5″)
Oil on Canvas, 2020
Unframed with painted edges
“Inspired by a trip to Threlkeld Quarry in Cumbria, with its curious (but wonderful) lumbering dinosaurs of retired excavation machinery (some being slowly, lovingly restored).
We were awestruck at the quiet, monumental beauty of the place. I loved the geometry of the plant machinery soaring into the sky, and the repetitive shapes of the collected objects and piles of yet-to-be-used salvage.”
This artwork is currently unframed, but I’m happy to arrange framing for UK clients for an additional charge.
