"I often gather painting inspiration from being a passenger in the car. I experiment with taking random photos from my phone out of the window and often capture an unexpected moment. In this case, it was marshy moorland and a dramatic cloud break at sunrise on the way to the studio. 
The cable line connects the distant and isolated farm to—power? Media? Both? Who knows, but it made me think of the life-giving and sustaining connection between mother and foetus, as the morning sun hit my face."
